There are 168 hours in a week.
I spend 45-50 hours a week at work, and usually about the same amount sleeping (if I’m lucky).
Almost 30% of my life is spent at work. Half of the time I’m awake, I’m at work. And not only that- when I get home, I’m tired from working all day and I end up sitting around watching television.
This is job-hell. My job is my life. I don’t mean that in a positive I-love-my-job-so-much-it’s-my-life kind of way. I mean all I’m ever doing is sleeping, getting ready for work, working, or trying to recover from work.
I’m trying to take my life back. I need to quit my job. And that doesn’t mean I’m going to start rooting around monster.com. I’ve been there. It’s not the answer. I always end up working my butt off to make someone else extremely rich. Why aren’t I on the other side?
This blog is the chronicle of my journey out of hell. I’ve got lots of ideas buzzing around in my head. I’m going to try them all. Whether it’s PPC marketing, affiliate marketing, ebay drop-shipping, or something else I haven’t discovered yet, somehow I’m going to make enough money to quit my job.
I want everyone to get me motivated. Send me your stories about how you quit. What did you say to your boss? What did you do to get even for all the crap he’s given you? Blackmail? Sabotage? I want to hear about it.
