Firefox?I use Firefox. But I hate Firefox. It’s buggy, it has all sorts of memory holes that make my Mac slow. It crashes all the time (although the restore-session feature *is* cool, I wish I didn’t need it because my browser actually worked). It doesn’t render pages nearly as fast as Safari.

So why do I use it? It has nothing to do with the browser itself. It’s the extensions. That’s right, I use Firefox completely for the third party software that I use to extend its functionality.

I love StumbleUpon. I love BugMeNot. I couldn’t get by without Adblock. SEOQuake tells me all sorts of useful information.

I’ve even got little plugins that show me my Adsense balance, and my CJ.com balance right in my status bar.

I wish I could go back to Safari. It’s faster. It renders a lot of pages more intelligently than Firefox, and most of all, it doesn’t crash every day.

Anybody who can tell me how to get all that functionality out of Safari gets a cookie.
