Since it’s launch about a day ago, I’ve seen posts on all the A-list blogs touting the benefits of this new traffic exchange widget. It’s a simple concept. Sign up, place the widget on your site, and pick a category/niche for your blog. It displays relevant posts in your sidebar widget, and for every visitor you get, your posts are displayed on the widget on another relevant blog. And it’s free. Oh, and for everyone you refer to the program, for ten generations down the line, you earn more credits, that gets your blog more exposure.
If anything, this is genius viral marketing. A 10-generation downline of referrals, even with low-to-modest traffic can result in a huge amount of exposure. Get a couple good marketers in your downline, and you’re sitting pretty.
Here’s what’s vital though. Sign up now. There’s going to be a massive amount of buzz about this for a weeks, and then it’ll die down. With anything like this, you have to get in early and start a referral network. You can start now, at the top of the ladder.
And hey, if it turns out to be a bust, you’re not out anything. You just need a little bit of screen real estate.
